A Week In Review

I have to apologize for the lack of posts this past week. I've thought about writing something several times the last few days but could never really find the time to sit down and get it done. The week started off with a gain on the scale, nearly voiding the entire loss from the previous week, and I was frustrated- to say the least... I almost threw in the towel but, at the end of the day, I went out and ran 6 miles and it felt really damn good! Afterward, I signed up to do a fun run with my BFF on 9/14 and it's nice to have another organized run to look forward to, between now and the marathon.

In the last 7 days, I've ridden quite the roller coaster...

I didn't work out as much as I'd hoped nor did I eat as healthfully as I'd intended -BUT- this coming week is another opportunity to begin anew. I'm going to forgive myself for straying a bit from my goals and take a moment to remember that, when I started this journey, I did not set an expiration date for getting from point A to Z. I'm going to take advantage of the excellent weather to get a decent run in this weekend, create a menu and gym schedule for the week, and make sure that I get to the farmer's market and grocery store to get everything I need to stay on track.
